Inception to completion process: Bespoke Access Platforms

Initial Consultation to determine your access platform requirements

One of Global Platforms’ surveyors will visit your site to view your requirements for bespoke access platforms, after listening to your brief and viewing the situation, they will explain in full what can be achieved to give you and your operatives a safe working at height experience.
They will then draw a sketch and take accurate measurements, clearly explaining the methodology behind what they propose in order to give you a safe working at height bespoke access platform.

The Design:

Our surveyor’s, who will be dedicated to you from inception to completion of the project, may find that your requirements for bespoke access platforms are more complex than usual. If this is the case, they may need to return to the office and discuss your needs with the design team and manufacturing staff to ensure that what we are going to propose can be achieved.
Only when we are certain that our interpretation of your requirement meets all the relative working at height safety standards and regulations will we put our proposal forward to you

We undertake a full value engineering assessment to guarantee complete value for money without affecting build quality or compromising any working at height regulations, British and European standards.
All our suppliers are vetted and must hold ISO accreditation or prove that they have a recorded procedure for supplying or manufacturing materials or parts. Our manufacturing team hold all relevant qualifications to carry out their roles throughout the manufacturing process and are repeatedly evaluated through our quality assurance process.

All work is carried out at our own depot in Birchwood, Warrington, with no aspect being sub-contracted out, thus enabling Global Platforms Ltd to have full control and responsibility through to completion of your bespoke access platforms.


Installation & training for your working at height equipment

Global Platforms Ltd will deliver and install your working at height access platform and, if required, train you and your staff in familiarisation of the equipment. Alternatively, we can arrange for you and/or your operatives to attend a full access platform course at a local training centre, so they can gain full certification in the required discipline.

Your equipment will also be delivered with a risk assessment and method statement for the unloading and installation of all the working at height equipment.

All our operatives are fully certificated in the relevant disciplines required and have many years of experience between them. Prior to leaving your site, all access solutions installed will be inspected and the relevant inspections tags applied and registered on our database for the next inspection due date.


Inspection and Maintenance required under WAHR 2005

Part of our after sales service is the inspection of equipment. Under the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER) and the Work at Height Regulations 2005 (WAHR), there is an obligation placed on all owners of access equipment to have the equipment fully inspected at regular intervals by a suitably qualified competent inspector to ensure it is fit and safe for purpose.

Global Platforms’ inspectors are highly skilled and knowledgeable and will ensure you enjoy complete peace of mind whilst carrying out your duties on safety platforms and working at height equipment. Your equipment will be registered in our database and you will be informed when the next inspection is due. On inspection, you will receive a full report of our findings and equipment will tagged with the required certification. If repairs or maintenance are required, this can be done onsite or back at our depot by our fully qualified fabricators.
