What is a spider MEWP?
A MEWP (Mobile Elevating Work Platform) is powered access equipment that lifts people and tools safely to height. A spider MEWP, also called a spider lift or tracked cherry picker, is a boom lift mounted on rubber tracks with four outriggers. It is light, narrow and stable, so it can go where wheeled booms and scaffolding cannot:
